Melrose National and Melrose American League City Series Tournaments
The City Series Tournaments have been historically played between the Melrose National and Melrose American League teams at the Major, Minor and Federal divisional level.
The tournaments are played once the spring season regularly scheduled games and playoff games are completed.
Tournament Rules / Format
Each league's playoff Champion is the #1 seed. The regular season champion is the #2 seed. If they are the same team, the #2 seeded team will be the team that loses in the playoff championship game. The #3 & #4 seeds are determined from the regular season standings.
During the semifinals, the home team will be the higher seeded team. This is the same for the finals where the home team will be the higher seeded team. The only exception would be if each final team shared the same seeding (i.e. both seeded at #2); in this case a coin flip will determine the home team.
